IMPROVE YOUR SKILLS!
Kokoro Volleyball is pleased to once again offer a fall team program for the 2020 season. This team program consists of a combination of skill training and competition.
This team program is the perfect addition to your grade school or intermediate school season! The Kokoro Staff will train and improve each of your skills so you have the best opportunity to achieve your goals this fall season. Each team member will participate in up to 28 hours of instruction!
Our instruction and the coaches implementing the training set us apart from other clubs in the Twin Cities. Athletes on each of our fall teams will not only learn foundational technical skills, but also implement systems of play, and serve receive patterns that will prepare them for not only their grade or intermediate school but High School and even Collegiate play! All athletes, from beginners in 5th grade through advanced athletes in ANY grade that are not participating in their 10th grade, B squad, JV or Varsity High School Program in the fall, that possess the ability to learn ALL these concepts through hard work and focus!
Placement on teams for competition will be based on skill and grade in school. Team placement will occur after the mandatory evaluation date on Sunday, August 16, 2020 from 4pm-8pm. Decisions on team placement are final and non-negotiable. Absolutely no athletes are cut from our fall league! Again, ALL grade or middle school athletes and ANY athletes in high school that are not participating on their 10th grade, B squad, JV or Varsity High School Program in the fall are 100% eligible to participate in our fall league.
All practices are 1 and 1/2 hours in length
Practices begin on Saturday, August 22nd.
All teams practice on Saturday or Sunday for 1.5 hours in one of the following time slots -> 2pm, 4pm, 6pm and 8pm
All teams will also practice Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday for 1.5 hours in one of the following time slots -> 4pm, 6pm and 8pm
All teams will have two practices a week (one weeknight and Saturday or Sunday).
The days your team will practice are consistent for the entire program.
All practices held at Kokoro Volleyball in N. St. Paul and possibly neighboring schools depending on participation numbers.
Upon evaluation on August 16th, all families will fill out a form in which they can indicate a practice day that does not work for their schedule. We will do our very best to accommodate that schedule request. However, due to our priority being proper placement of athletes, we cannot make any guarantees on a team’s practice nights.
Specific practice day/times will be emailed to all participants the week of August 17.
COMPETITIONS ARE TENTATIVE due to Covid-19
We cannot guarantee that we will be able to offer competitions outside of our Kokoro Volleyball gym for the fall league season. If we are able to hold competitions those will be at no additional charge.
If held, competitions will be on Saturdays or Sundays and may range in possibility from inter-Kokoro team competition to competition hosted around the Twin Cities Metro area with other area clubs. Determination of what competition will look like will be made on a week to week basis based on current CDC/MDH requirements and Governor Walz's orders.
Tentative Competition Dates: 9/12 or 9/13, 9/19 or 9/20, 9/26 or 9/27, 10/3 or 10/4, 10/10 or 10/11 (morning to early afternoon start times)
5th/6th Grade and 7th-9th Grade Divisions will tentatively compete on Saturdays and practice on Sundays.
10th-12th Grade Divisions will tentatively compete on Sundays and practice on Saturdays.
The fee for the Fall Team Program is $500.00; which can be made in two installments. First payment is due, on or before Sunday, August 16 evaluation date/time. Second payment is due September 16.
This is based on 21 to 31+ hours of instruction. All fees are due in full prior to the evaluation date. The increase in fee from the 2019 season is specifically due to new COVID-19 safety procedures and monitoring being implemented. Fees can be sent to us via USPS:
PO Box 721
Hudson, WI. 54016
Or you may pay online by following the link below. Please note, when paying online, PayPal’s service fee is added to the transaction, therefore the total to pay online is: $520.00
Refunds will only be given if the state of Minnesota, Ramsey County or the City of North St. Paul issue orders requiring us to close or modify our schedule due to changes in COVID-19 guidance by the Center for Disease Control or the Minnesota Department of Health. Refunds would be prorated for time in which, due to government action, we were unable to provide service. The prorated refund amount will be calculated after subtracting the non-refundable expenses Kokoro incurs including facility rental, equipment, and administrative expenses totaling $250. Beside this single refund instance, all fees are due in full regardless of the duration of participation.
