I have been training athletes for 24 years to reach their goals on and off the volleyball court. I have coached in a variety of settings from private lessons and clinics for players just beginning their volleyball careers to collegiate Division I and professional players.
I employ a wide range of training skills to ensure each athlete's improvement and success. These skills were learned at a variety of levels including 9 years of collegiate coaching, 8 years of High School coaching, 23 years of club coaching, and 21 years of camp coaching. I have worked with the coaching staff at the University of Minnesota, the University of Notre Dame, Auburn University, Marquette University, the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee and Macalester College.
I believe there is a difference between coaching and training. My philosophy is simple: training is the ability to break down each player’s skills into components, then improving those components to increase the skill level of each athlete. This philosophy has lead to the following coaching accomplishments:
-
NCAA Tournament Participants, UW Milwaukee, 1999
-
NCAA Horizon League Champions, UW Milwaukee, 1999
-
USA Volleyball U18 Open Division 2nd Place, Milwaukee Sting, 2000
-
AAU Volleyball U14 Division, Best Record in the National Tournament at 14 & 1 in 2016
-
USA Volleyball Adult Open Division 4th Place, Kokoro Volleyball, 2003 & 2004
-
Coached 7 Professional Players
-
Coached 3 NCAA Division I All American Team Members
-
Coached 8 NCAA Division I All Region Team Members
-
Coached 25 NCAA Division I All Conference Team Members
-
Coached 10 USA Volleyball All American Team Members
-
Coached 22 AAU Volleyball All American Team Members
In addition to coaching, I have also been a successful club director for Kokoro Volleyball for 12 years.
I began my volleyball career in Milwaukee, competing in intermediate school as well as on my high school’s varsity team. My coaching career began while attending Macalester College where I graduated with my degree in psychology in 1999. After completing that degree, I then pursued and obtained my masters degree in counseling from UW Milwaukee in 2003.
I am looking forward to working with your athlete to provide them with outstanding training!

I have been involved with the sport of volleyball as a player, coach and administrator for over 29 years.
PLAYER
-
I became invested in the sport of volleyball when I started playing club volleyball in the Metro area my freshman year of High School.
-
Upon High School graduation I played for the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay and Northern Michigan University where I participated in the NCAA Division II National Championships.
-
After my college years I was given the opportunity to participate with a Club Volleyball team in Luxembourgh, Luxembourgh.
-
I would love to say I am still competing at a competitive level, and I suppose I am if that includes peppering in the front yard and short court at the gym with the munchkins.
COACH
-
I have run/instructed numerous metro located club camps, Kokoro Volleyball Camps as well as stepped in to help facilitate independent High School summer camps throughout Western Wisconsin.
-
In 2000 I began coaching club volleyball, until founding Kokoro Volleyball in 2010 with my husband, R.T. Luczak.
I am thrilled and proud of who, and what, we are at Kokoro Volleyball and look forward to working with your daughter on and off the court.
