Luau 2025 News
Competition
The tournament will have parity in each competitive division (30+ divisions), have certified up officials for all matches, athlete gifts, team trophies, AND individual medals for the three top finishers in each competitive division.
Locations
We anticipate record numbers of teams in 2025. Once the schedule is posted, look through facility information to determine if you need to bring your own chair, if your site has concessions, etc.
Affiliation
Teams of any affiliation (JVA, AAU, USAV, Independent) will be allowed to register and compete in the event.
Recruiting
The Big City Luau will be partnering with University Athlete to ensure all collegiate coaches across the country have access to our participants. University Athlete is THE recruiting software college coaches utilize to recruit all major events across the country! College coaches will have access to ALL schedules and rosters to ensure they do not miss any athletes in the event. Additionally, ALL athletes can set up a personalized University Athlete account at NO COST and post further information about themselves, including additional contact information, skill videos, highlight videos, and other match footage!
Parking
This event has no parking fees, and all admission and concession proceeds DIRECTLY benefit the host High School, College, Middle School, or Club Facility. By simply attending, you are tremendously impacting the local volleyball community!

The individual registering teams for the Big City Luau assumes all liability for the compliance with the "SafeSport Act of 2017" by ALL individuals that will be coaching, training or chaperoning the teams they are registering for the Big City Luau Tournament. This includes anyone that will be coaching, training or chaperoning the team(s) they are registering at any time during the event.
Further, the individual registering teams for the Big City Luau assumes all liability for compliance with MDH, CDC and Governor Walz's guidelines for your sports at all times during participation in the event; this includes both competition and practice. Should a team be found to not be in compliance, they will be asked kindly to comply; however, if subsequent non-compliance is observed the team will be removed from competition immediately.
